State Senator John Toomey Farm

After being contacted recently by a granddaughter of one of
my grandfather Joe Phillips's brothers I decided to put some more information
online regarding the purchase and rental of the late State Senator John
Toomey property. After Senator Toomey died in 1949 my grandfather purchased
the property and rented it during 1953 and 1954 to a younger brother, John Crittenden,
called Uncle Critt by my mother. Uncle Critt married Uno V. Dawson. The old
Toomey house burned shortly after this.
