Al Payne my father died in 1986 while helping me move a load of logs from our 145 acres on the Clinch River where my family have owned property within 100 miles of where we now own for over 200 years. He was a retired rural mail carrier.
My mother died on Jan. 22, 1999 and is sorely missed. She was a valuable resource in helping me compile most of my research.
