Worked as a mechanic on automatic pin spotters in Indiana for a couple of years
and then joined the Air Force. Served in Germany 1962-1966, Florida 1966-1968,
and Viet Nam 1968-1969.He was scheduled to go to Viet Nam in November of 1967, but had "hernia" repair surgery which prevented him from going until March of 1968.
DaNang Air Force Base was still smoldering from the worst part of the February

Florida in Tampa majoring in business. Most of professional career from 1962
forward was dealing with computer installation, maintenance, programming, and

Born as Mead, mother and stepfather had name changed to Adameit at about age 10. A good cook, but not very attentive. Was often heard saying that a smoke detector had no place in the kitchen. Her children were often heard repeating what they had learned in grade school, "stop drop
and roll", and "get down and crawl the air is better down here.". Only needed
fire department once. Is now married to a Methodist minister, Harry E Mann.Graduated from Orange Memorial Hospital school of Nursing in Orlando.

Graduated from high school in Ft Pierce, Fl. Attended University of South Florida (U.S.F.) in Tampa, Fl. Was most valuable track team member for field events on her high school team, and was voted all region by the local newspapers her senior year. She was also a member of the U.S.F. track team as shot putter, and discus thrower. She is probably only member of the family to participate in Division I NCAA sports.

John was born in Orlando,Fl.,during second world war.His Dad and Mother lived there about 18 months. His Dad was working for the U.S.O. Brought him to Kentucky when He was about 1 year old.He atttended Rockport Grade School,Rockport Ky,through the 4th grade.When his family moved to Louisville, he attended Rockford Lane Elementry and Butler High School in Shively, Ky.
Sarah was born in Louisville,Ky. and attended Calif.Kindegarden in Louisville Ky.near14th and Maple Sts. Entered 1st grade about 1950 and was there through 6th grade.Attended Parkland Jr. H.S. and graduated from Ahren Trade H.S.in 1962
Sarah started working at U.L. during Her senior year of High School.After gradurating from H.S. she worked at U.L. and attended night school there.
John and Sarah met when John was attending U.L.Speed Scientific School,and Sarah was working as a secertary at the same school. They married at the Twenty Third and Broadway Baptist Church on the 30th day of Sept.1966 about 2.5 years after meeting. Sarah contiued working and John contuied His schooling for about 1.5 years after marriage,and until graduration in 1968 with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Johns' first job was with Boeing Aircraft in Phil.Pa. Sarah went to work for Scott Paper Co. After about 9 months,John was accepted to The Coast and Geodatic Survey, and they moved to Seattle Wash. Sarah got a job with the School System, and John was in and around Alaska,on board a Hydrographic Survey Ship, during
/the summers and docked at Seattle during the winters.Glen was born in Bellvue Wash, near Seattle, Feb 9th 1971.
John and Sarah spent the last year of a three year stint traveling from Oregon to 29 Palms, Calif.John was surveying a Transcotinental Traverse Line.
During this time they were living in and pulling a 8 by 40 ft trailer.
After arriving at 29 Palms,sold trailer and went to Lander,Wyoming for two months
before moving to Raleigh,N.C.
John and Sarah stayed in Raleigh for about 3.5 years. During this time Sarah
worked and managed an after school day care center, John earned a Masters Degree
in Architecture, Shelly was born in 1973.
After graduration, John went to work for the Army Core of Engineers in Carrie
N.C. He worked in Carrie about 9 months, then transfered to Kingsport, Tenn. to
the Holston Defense Plant in 1977.
When Glen was in the third grade in school, Sarah started volunter work at
His school. After a short time She was hired as a permanent employee with the
Kingsport School system. She was a secertary to the Principal at Lincoln Elementry in Kingsport from 1987 through 1993.
John trnsfered from the Army Core of Engineers to the U.S.Army Armament and
Chemical Command.He was a Contract Operations Officer from 1987 through 1993.
His new office was in the same building as before.
