There is a CARTER FAMILY DNA STUDY and there is a claimed descendent of John Carter b. 1690, m. 1723, in VA, Elizabeth Hill and d. 1777, Corotoman.

I am pasting the DNA TABLE WITH LINKS BELOW. THERE HAS BEEN A DESCENDANT OF COL. JOHN CARTER AND AS YOU CAN SEE THERE IS NO CONNECTION TO THE COROTOMAN FAMILY. THERE IS FURTHER STUDY GOING ON AT THIS TIME. DALE CARTER, NO. 19789, WAS THE PARTICIPANT - AN INTERESTING FACT WITH MY CONNECTION WITH THE DALE FAMILY THROUGH MY MOTHER - THE DALE AND PHILLIPS FAMILIES WERE CONNECTED THOUGH THE MARRIAGE OF FRANCES PHILLIPS AND WILLIAM DALE , A DESCENDANT OF REUBEN DALE - THE COROTOMAN CARTER FAMILY ARE RELATED TO THE DALE FAMILY THROUGH THE SKIPWITH FAMILY WHO WAS A DESCENDANT OF A DALE ANCESTOR BUT NOT THE SAME DALE FAMILY. JUST SOMETHING I THOUGH I WOULD MENTION

While searching for the lineage of Col. John Carter early Tennessee Pioneer, I found the following lineage that includes a lot of Carter information but maybe not the Landon Carter for which I am searching. Anyway I thought it would be a very nice addition to the history section of my webpage. I am also including what little I have on Col. John Carter, early Tennessee Pioneer.
