This had to be made not long after the Civil War. The gathering is in Claiborne Co., TN. It comes also from the archive of Bumgardner, Farmer and Stone Families. There was some writing on the back of the picture and I have tried and colorize the back so that it can be read. Notice that the men in the back row are holding books, some open.
