 Dr. Samuel W. STONE, son of Thomas Henderson STONE born Aug 10, 1846 married Clarissa J. THOMPSON, daughter of James THOMPSON, Sr. and Pheba HUDDLESTON. Clarissa J. was married to Prior L. MASON. Mary Harper Stone, his mother, is living with Dr. Samuel Stone according to the Claiborne 1870 census. She is 62. |
Picture made 2002 Dr. Samuel Stone purchased the old family homeplace when his father, Thomas H. Stone died. Thomas H. Stone purchased the land in Springdale from a Hurst, probably Aaron Hurst. The log house was built sometime in the early 1830's by Thomas H. Stone who raised his famiy there. The log house was orginally 2 rooms, later Dr. Sam Stone added 2 rooms upstairs, and later a back wing was added by his granddaughter. The logs are covered by clapboard. Read more about this house. |

Thomas Wesley died on 7 Nov 1925 at Tazewell, Claiborne Co., Tennessee, USA and was buried at Irish Mem Cem. Louvinah died on 15 Apr 1877 and was buried at Irish Mem Cem. Below are pictures of Daniel Henry Beeler and Lavannah Wolfenbarger with a sister to Louvinah Beeler. Sarah Beeler was born 24 Apr 1847 in Grainger, D. 21 May 1920 in Grainger County, who on 7 July 1868 Mar G.W. Qualls.  |
